Share Lunch Fight Hunger - Corporate Banking

Captain: Paul Burroughs
Coordinator: Jay Olney
For over 40 years, City Harvest, New York’s first and largest food rescue organization, has rescued and delivered millions of pounds of fresh produce for New Yorkers in need. We’re incredibly proud to continue our support of the impactful work they do every day—and during times of crisis—to help support New York City families who are struggling to make ends meet.
Right now, 1 in 4 New York City children don't always know where their next meal will come from. With the cost of living in NYC continuing to increase at an unsustainable rate, the need for food assistance in New York City is the highest on record. Compared to 2019, average monthly visits to New York City food pantries and soup kitchens this year are up 81%.
City Harvest works tirelessly to ensure our neighbors have access to the fresh, nutritious foods they need to thrive. This fiscal year alone, the organization expects to rescue 81 million pounds of high-quality food and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries and soup kitchens across the five boroughs.
That’s why we’re once again supporting the Share Lunch Fight Hunger campaign with a goal of raising $200,000 to aid their incredible work. This year’s fundraising will be a hybrid model of both in-person events and online giving opportunities. If you are able, we hope you will consider contributing to this important cause. No donation amount is too small—even a $25 contribution helps feed 19 children and their families for a day.
Once again, this year’s campaign includes an employee sweepstakes. Employees making a donation of $75 or more to City Harvest’s Share Lunch Fight Hunger campaign at http://www.cityharvest.org/citi from April 1 through May 16, 2025, will be automatically entered for a chance to win some great prizes.* Winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about June 6.
