HarperCollins City Harvest Food Drive Challenge (2019)
If you are on the 23rd floor, donate here!
This fall, HarperCollins will once again hold the City Harvest Challenge to help feed hungry New Yorkers. We've divided the company into four teams, and your goal is simple: donate more than the competition does!
More than 1.2 million New Yorkers are facing hunger, including one in five New York City children. City Harvest rescues good food that would otherwise go to waste – this year it will be 64 million pounds of food – and delivers it free of charge to soup kitchens, food pantries and other community food programs across the city.
Every $1 donated helps City Harvest rescue and deliver 4 pounds of good food. Just $20 helps feed 11 people for a week, and $50 helps feed six people for an entire month.
We are collecting monetary donations via this secure online donation form (as well as cash collection boxes in the HarperCollins offices). Each dollar and each food item will count as one point. The team with the most points at the end of the donation period will win. In honor of the winning team, HarperCollins will match the donation made by that team.
