As we approach the holiday season, we cannot help but reflect on the trying times that many in our country are facing. The impact of COVID-19 in NYC alone has resulted in 24,000 deaths as well as an unemployment rate that is at 14%. As our city continues to grapple with the devastating economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of New Yorkers relying on charitable donations has skyrocketed, and thousands of our neighbors are turning to food pantries and soup kitchens for the first time.

Blue Wolf recognizes these hardships and would like to give back to our local community this year by seeding this campaign to donate to City Harvest. We invite you to personally donate to this campaign for which we have reserved funds to match donations dollar for dollar.

City Harvest has been helping to feed hungry New Yorkers since 1982 and has become the city’s largest food rescue organization helping over 1.5 millions New Yorkers through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions. This year, they will rescue 109 million pounds of fresh, nutritious food and deliver it—free of charge—to more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, community partners and our own Mobile Markets across the five boroughs. City Harvest works alongside our community partners to boost community capacity, expand nutrition education, and strengthen local food systems.

 Every $1 donated helps City Harvest feed two New Yorkers for a day. By donating, you’ll help keep City Harvest’s trucks on the road and filled with nutritious food for our neighbors in need.
