Canstruction New York has donated nearly 2 million pounds of food to City Harvest through an annual design/build competition where design professionals compete to design and build giant structures made entirely out of canned foods.  This year because of COVID-19, teams will be competing by fundraising and submitting digital designs of canned food sculptures.

City Harvest is New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization, helping to feed millions of New Yorkers who struggle to put meals on their tables. This year, we will rescue 109 million pounds of fresh, nutritious food and deliver it, free of charge, to more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, community partners, and our own Mobile Markets across the five boroughs. 

City Harvest is committed to feeding everyone who was relying on them before COVID-19, and to meeting the increased need as the devastating economic impact of the crisis continues.
