Virtual Food Drive

The New Yorker's Five Days of (Thanks)Giving

On Monday, November 13, The New Yorker will kick off its third virtual food drive. We've set an initial goal of $5,000, with all money going to City Harvest. This year, more than ever, there will be so many New York City families in need during the holidays. To support them, please click the "donate now" button. The food drive will run from November 13 through 17th. If you have any questions, please reach out to A.J. Rourk.

City Harvest is New York’s first and largest food rescue organization, helping to feed millions of New Yorkers who struggle to put meals on their tables. During our 40 years serving New Yorkers in need, we have rescued more than one billion pounds of fresh, nutritious food and delivered it— free of charge— to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens, community partners, and our own Mobile Markets® across the five boroughs. This year, we will rescue and distribute more than 75 million pounds of nutritious food to our neighbors in need.

As City Harvest marks our 40th year feeding New Yorkers in need, unemployment and food insecurity rates remain high. Please help me make sure that no good food goes to waste while so many of our neighbors are in need. Together, we can make a difference one day, one meal, one person at a time.

Every $1 donated helps City Harvest rescue and deliver enough food to help feed two New Yorkers for a day. By donating, you’ll help keep City Harvest’s trucks filled with nutritious food for our neighbors in need.
